Nicola Gilmour

Dr. Nicola Gilmour is the Head of the School of Languages and Cultures, and a Senior Lecturer in Spanish at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Her current research interests include representations of Spain’s medieval ethno-religious minorities (Hispanic Muslims and Jews) in contemporary Spanish historical fiction and in Spanish historiography, and the uses to which those images are put. She has been a long-time member of AILASA and was President of the organisation from 2012-2016.
